JOE LAMY
INDUCTED INTO BABE RUTH HALL OF FAME

TRENTON, NJ…The Babe Ruth International Board of Directors at their annual meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, unanimously elected Joseph Lamy of Franklin, New Hampshire, into its Hall of Fame.

Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steve Tellefsen said, “Joe was involved in Babe Ruth League,Inc. for over 35 years. He was a truly dedicated volunteer and played a major role in the success of Babe Ruth Baseball on all levels.”

Lamy started in the Babe Ruth program at the local league level serving as a manager, League President, Secretary and Treasurer. After leaving the local league level, Lamy held the positions of District Commissioner, Assistant State Commissioner, State Commissioner and Assistant Regional Commissioner until being elected New England Regional Commissioner in 1996. As a Regional Commissioner, Lamy became an automatic member of the International Board of Directors. Although he retired from the Board in 2006, he still remains dedicated to the Babe Ruth program, especially the youth of the New England Region.

Lamy retired from his job as Traffic Manager/Warehouse Manager at Watts Industries in 1993.
He and his wife Lois have five children and 17 grandchildren.

Joseph Lamy joins more than 100 individuals and organizations who have earned the distinctionof being inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
